Vidu AI is an AI video generation platform known for its long-form video capabilities. The latest model, Vidu Q3, generates up to 16 seconds of continuous video at 2K resolution with native audio-video synchronization and Smart Cuts for automatic multi-shot sequences. It supports both text-to-video and image-to-video generation.

Vidu Q3 is the latest generation model from Vidu AI. Key improvements include native 16-second video generation (among the longest in the industry), 2K resolution output, built-in audio-video synchronization, Smart Cuts for automatic multi-shot sequences, and robust character consistency across frames and cuts.

How long can Vidu AI videos be?

Vidu Q3 supports native generation of up to 16 seconds per clip — longer than most competing AI video models. The 16-second duration allows for complete narrative arcs, multi-beat commercial spots, and full Smart Cuts multi-shot sequences in a single generation. For longer content, clips can be extended or concatenated in post-production.

What are Smart Cuts in Vidu AI?

Smart Cuts is Vidu Q3's automatic multi-shot feature. By including "Cut 1, Cut 2, Cut 3" notation in your prompt, the model automatically segments the generation into multiple camera angles and shots with smooth transitions. Character consistency and scene continuity are preserved across all cuts, enabling professional multi-shot sequences without manual editing.

How does Vidu AI compare to Kling and Sora?

Vidu Q3 leads in native generation duration (16s vs Kling's 15s and Sora 2's 25s) and offers unique Smart Cuts multi-shot automation. Kling 3.0 provides higher resolution (4K vs 2K) and more advanced features like lip sync and motion control. Sora 2 supports the longest clips (25s) with strong narrative coherence. Vidu Q3's strengths are its long-form generation, reliable character consistency, and native audio-video sync at an accessible price point.

Native 2K resolution delivers crisp, broadcast-ready video with fine detail retention. Sharp textures, clean edges, and natural color grading make Vidu Q3 output suitable for professional use without post-processing upscaling.

Audio-Video Synchronization

Generate synchronized audio alongside video — dialogue, ambient soundscapes, music, and sound effects. Vidu Q3 understands scene context to produce acoustically matched audio without manual post-production work.

Smart Cuts for Multi-Shot

Smart Cuts automatically segments your generation into multiple camera angles and shots while maintaining scene continuity. Build professional multi-shot sequences with intelligent transitions, all within a single generation.
